Made by/for Arnold & Sons London circa 1886. Arnolds supplied vetinary tools and in their 1886 catalogue this knife is priced at 3/6. Time and scarcity means it costs a little more now... Scales are buffalo horn. Snap is very good and play barely detectable. Blade length approx 45mm.

I must be honest, I know very little about this knife, there are no makers marks anywhere but I'm pretty sure its Sheffield made. Construction is all steel, the body being made of slabs about 2.5mm thick. The shackle however is copper and of the type fitted to British military knives in the late 19th early 20th century. Snap on the blade is strong with no play, the marline spike has decent snap & a little sideways movement. Guessing the scales were polished but I like them the way they are.

Outstanding quality lock knife by Finnish manufacturer Enzo (now Brisa). Designed by J Hankala with an Elmax stainless steel blade & black G10 scales. Never used or carried the knife is in as new condition. Blade length approx 85mm.

Fantastic old sportsmans knife with locking main blade, pen blade, marline spike and corkscrew. Tangs are stamped for 'M H & W Coventry' presumably the retailer as I am certain this is of Sheffield manufacture. A couple of small areas of pitting & the corkscrew has a little movement in the closed position, otherwise everything is as it should be with good snap and no play.

Rowbotham UKAEA Clasp Knife
1950's/60's large linesmans tool made by Rowbotham of Sheffield for the U.K.Atomic Energy Authority. NOT an SOE or special forces demolition knife as these are sometimes described. Knife blade has some scratch marks, both blade and the locking screwdriver have some very minor blemishes but otherwise in very good condition. Excellent snap & only very minimal sideways play, probably no more than when manufactured.

Shaw Bros Sportsmans Knife
Victorian sportsmans knife marked for 'Shaw Bros Liverpool' who I'm sure were the retailers rather than the manufacturer. The adjustable cartridge extractor has an old British patent mark which dates it from 1868-1883, year mark is a little worn so I can't date accurately. All tools have good snap and no play. Some small areas of pitting. Overall very good condition. Main blade length approx 68mm.

Nice example of the 8173 pattern 'gift' knife by Thomas Ellin & co. Blades have good snap, very small amount of sideways play on the can opener, none on the knife blade. Was found with Welch regiment cap badge & 5 pennies dated 1917/18. Whether the knifes original owner was in The Welch is unknown.

Buffalo Victorinox Golfer?
NOT factory made, this Victorinox has been re-built with buffalo scales and what look to be nickel silver pins. It has been done to a high standard and all tools operate as they should. There are a few rub marks to the blade & divot tool but nothing major.

Hard to find Safari, identical tool set to the GAK 1. Doesn't look to have had much use BUT there is a slight bend to the blade which doesn't cause any issues or even touch the central divider. Excellent little fruit knife/button hook, hallmarked for Sheffield 1899. Has good snap for a silver fruit knife with no play. The pearl scales are in super condition, the last photo shows what at first sight looks like a crack but on closer inspection it is either a flaw within the pearl or a mark to the surface. Stunning 7 piece pocket knife by R F Mosley Sheffield. The file work has lost some of its gilding but that on the inside of the central spring is complete. The beautiful mother of pearl scales are free from cracks or chips. All 4 liners have milled edges. All tools have good snap with no play. Near mint condition.

George Ibberson Silver 2 blade pen knife with stainless blades. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1932. Both blade tangs are stamped 'Buck & Ryan Euston Rd'.
Buck & Ryan were one of Londons leading tool merchants. File work extends to the spines of both blades. Inside of both scales are stamped III. Condition is extremely good. Both blades have good snap & no play. Main blade length approx 47mm
Usual excellent Ibberson quality, the engine turned scales are stamped 2-51 on the inside. Main blade is etched for Merrill Pumps. Both blades have very good snap with no play. Condition is as new.

1920-30's vintage army/army style clasp knife. Excellent condition with virtually no wear. Good snap all round. Only issue is one tiny crack to one fibre scale and a very slight bulge to the other.

Italian army pocketknife
Here's an unusual one, an Italian army 3 piece clasp knife circa 1950 that has been re-bulit with oak scales and brass pins.
Good snap all round, some sideways play to can opener. There is a small crack to the oak on the marline pin but there is no movement in it. Main blade length 70mm
